Merry Christmas in July from us at Cleveland Baseball and Brews! This week our guest, Hayden Grove (@H_Grove) from Scout.com, hangouts with Best Friend Brad (@BradWojdyla) and I (@cle_itisgone). Hayden brings the gift of Great Lakes Christmas Ale and trade talks into the studio! The only way to celebrate!
The three of us almost seem to lose track of time getting deep into a debate on what constitutes the title “prospect”, the Chicago White Sox possible “fire Sale”, and what the Indians could be thinking going into the final week before the deadline. Would Aroldis Chapman come to Cleveland? Jonathan Lucroy? Potential cheaper options the Indians might be more interested in and who might be on the block for any or all of these options.
Also, what will happen with LF Michael Brantley, and will he actually be back at any point in the 2016 season, and how that might effect what the Indians decide to do going forward with two trade deadlines and the September call-ups coming in the near future.
Hayden answers questions like what are his favorites beers, and favorite baseball movies, and of course we would welcome him back with open arms, especially if he brings us more beer (;
Next week: BurningRiverBaseball’s Mike Melaragno joins us next Sunday, the day before the deadline to talk deals, both done and pending, minor leagues, and more!
If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions for us on beer, foods or topics to cover, you can find Brad, I or our guests on Twitter!
