Cincinnati ‘Bulls’ Past USF

I’m extremely sorry for that terrible pun headline. The Cincinnati Bearcats advance to the Big East quarterfinals for the second year in a row, with a big 87-61 win over USF. The Bearcats were powered by a career high 25 point performance by Yancy Gates. Dion Dixon, my best friend, had a very solid game with 21 points and a team high 6 rebounds as well. UC shot 57%. The game turned at halftime, when Anthony Crater injured his shoulder and didn’t play the second half. The Bearcats lead by 8 at intermission, and put the screws to the Bulls in the second half. USF just didn’t have it tonight, and they were lost without their point guard.

There will be a recap up tomorrow. 25 wins. Notre Dame is up next tomorrow at 7 on ESPN.  The picture is thanks to the AP.
