Cincinnati’s 2013 Big East Opponents Announced

The Big East announced the Cincinnati Bearcats opponents next season today. The dates are not set. Cincinnati keeps the current home and away pattern with the returning teams. The Bearcats host Louisville and Connecticut, while traveling to South Florida and Rutgers. Cincinnati plays on the road at old kind of rival Memphis and they make the cross country trip to San Diego State. The Bearcats host Central Florida and Boise State.

This is going to be a big test for the first season of Tommy Tuberville. One would assume that Louisville and Boise State would be the favorites to win the league. Cincinnati plays them both at home. We'll see what kind of atmosphere and attendance we get with Tubs at the helm. We can probably assume that the Louisville game will be the second week of October. That has been a second week of October game the past couple of seasons.

Cincinnati opens the season August 31 by hosting Purdue. The following week they play at Illinois. Miami is on the schedule for October 21 in Oxford. Northwestern State rounds out the schedule.

The home games are:

  • Purdue
  • Northwestern State
  • Louisville
  • UCF
  • Boise State

The road games are:

  • At Illinois
  • At Miami
  • At Memphis
