The Cincinnati Bearcats volleyball team has worn 1 pair of shoes this season. Those shoes are the adidas ass kicking volleyball shoes model 383. The ladies have done just that, as they have continued to kick ass in the Big East. Cincinnati has won 27 sets, a school record. There are 3 sets in a game, and 27/3=9, so that means the women have swept the last 9 games. They have won the last 10, and sport a 17-3 record, including 6-0 in the Big East. The Bearcats are also ranked 21, and are in the polls the 4th straight week. That’s a feat the Big East hasn’t seen since 2007. Like the football team, they play Louisville this weekend.
There are many stars to the team, like Emily MacIntyre who had this written about her (way to be Ems. Yeah I call her Ems,) but the star of stars is the greatest volleyball player in the history of Cincinnati volleyball, and I’m going to say it, the greatest volleyball player in the history of the Big East, Stephanie Niemer. She won the Big East Player of the Week for the 5th straight week. She committed but 2 errors in 64 swings last week. That’s kind of hard to do. She had 19 kills against DePaul and 20 against Notre Dame, just killing bitches left and right. She is well on her way to be the greatest volleyball player in the sport of women’s volleyball. Quick, name someone better this season? You can’t. And to go along with that, she’s my bff.
The main point of this post was to point the glory at the ladies. But there is a secondary point. I want to interview Stephanie Niemer. The Volleyball twitter won’t respond. Neither will the Go Bearcats twitter. I went to email the people responsible on the official UC site, but there were none for volleyball. Conspiracy? Probably. Does Stephanie Niemer want to get interviewed by me? Of course. The thing holding this back is the university of Cincinnati. The university that we all know and probably don’t actually love, but like a little, well we really like the teams most of all. The point is, they are being stubborn. I implore you all to bang down the doors of the @cincinnativball and make this happen. I just found out, now at 4:04 pm, that they stopped following me on twitter. Way to make sure the season ends badly. If this interview doesn’t happen, I’m starting a rally against the UC administration and the person behind the volleyball twitter. This is going to end badly for everyone.
