Is making a brief appearance on a sitcom the hot new thing if you're an athlete?
A couple of months ago, Los Angeles Angels pitcher C.J. Wilson and retired NFL star Shawne Merriman both showed up in an episode of FOX's "The Mindy Project".
Sunday night, it was Clayton Kershaw's and Joe Theismann's turn.
That's right, the Los Angeles Dodgers hurler made a "blink and you missed him" appearance during the post-SuperBowl installment of "New Girl". The premise was dumb, sure, but the idea that the lefty is a party guest of rock legend Prince? Yeah…I can get behind that.
And Theisman? The SuperBowl XVII-winning quarterback showed up during "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" immediately following "New Girl".
