Over the last few weeks, Baseball and Brews has been a bit all over the place. Boobs, butts, and all the “Netflix and chill” talk you could want. But this week, because it was a literal Hangover Show (early Sunday show, and I was actually hungover) there was no guest joining us, there wasn’t a whole lot of nonsense, there was just baseball. We went back to our roots of the show and it was refreshing as hell to do so.
Of course, Brad (@BradWojdyla) and I talked about the Indians being in first place AGAIN in the ALC, coming off of a series win (and now sweep) of the reigning Kansas City Royals. I gushed about Francisco Lindor‘s mind-blowing flip to Jose Ramirez that has people from ESPN, and MLB Network taking notice of what Cleveland is starting to do in the division.
Also, we went into Marlon Byrd getting caught for PED use and why it’s bad but in a way I feel for the guy, and the return of Abraham Almonte who was also suspended before camp broke for the 2016 season.
We played a little game of “Who Would You Want?” where Brad read off the stats of some unnamed players, and I had to choose which one I would want on the Indians. Mike Napoli was a choice, and I didn’t pick him. Oops.
To wrap it up, there was bad beer, we talked about the All Star Ballot being a complete popularity contest, the upcoming MLB Draft, and of course, the minor leagues. (All Cleveland farm teams, aside from Lake County are still in 1st place in their respective division!)
