It might just be because WrestleMania 29 is coming to us live from MetLife Stadium Sunday night, but it seems like the WWE has New York covered right now.
Seriously, you can't get online with a Superstar or Diva somewhere doing something in the "Big Apple". Friday, CM Punk and Paul Heyman invaded Citi Field to check out the New York Mets taking on the Miami Marlins and, prior to the game…throw out the first pitch.
And, yes, prior to donning the blue and orange, the former WWE champ was seen in the Mets dugout wearing his Chicago Cubs cap.
Oh, a sidenote. Up until recently, CM Punk held the WWE Championship belt for a record-setting 434 days. And, it would appear, unlike his ESPN co-worker Robert Flores, Adam Rubin isn't much of a wrestling fan.
Now, I get it. If you don't follow wrestling, it's possible you might not know who some of their biggest names are, but given CM Punk has been everywhere since his epic "pipe bomb" in June 2011…dude has been everywhere.
Including the "Worldwide Leader".
