The Boston Globe has the news. Coco Crisp signed a three-year extension (with a club option for 2010, but really, why wouldn’t we pick it up if he’s just going to be turning 30?) earlier today. He would have been eligible for arbitration again after this year. Crisp was off to a rousing start both at the plate (.333/.385/.458), on the basepaths (save for that one tiny play) and in the field. Placed on the disabled list, Crisp will be eligible to come off on April 24th, and may still yet make it back by May 1st to take on the Yankees.
