College Football Saturday Night–live game blog for Washington-Utah, Nebraska-Wisconsin, and the rest of the PAC-12 action

Home from work and a workout, time for some college football.

Utah defense is stuffing Washington on the ground, but they keep giving up big plays and penalty yardage, plus turning the ball over.

Keith Price looks sharp in the pocket, precise and cool, uncanny for a guy with five games starting. The Husky game looms in Seattle, the week before Stanford. Washington has a legit offense.

#3 Alabama trailing #10 Florida 10-3 on the road, but they’re in the red zone after a long kickoff return.

#8 Nebraska leads #7 Wisconsin early, 7-0. Huskers are a double-digit underdog.

Brantley of Florida throws a pick 6. SEC quarterbacks make a lot of stupid throws. Defensive play in the conference is tremendous, but there are six or seven better quarterbacks in the PAC-12, where teams can actually pass the ball.

Wow! Washington State is 3-1 after a come-from-behind victory over Colorado today, 1-0 in the conference. Utah has four turnovers at home and trails 24-7 to the Huskies.

Ute quarterback Jordan Wynn is on the sideline, holding his hand. Polk is over 100 yards, and UW quarter Keith Price is 15-23 passing. Great start for the Huskies, who’ll win tonight to reach 4-1 and 2-0 in conference. Sophomore quarterback Keith Price with three touchdowns and 207 yards passing, Chris Polk over 150 yards rushing. Huskies have a lot of weapons, although Price is playing with two bad knees that limit his mobility. Sarkisian has done an amazing job rebuilding that program. Ducks had better watch out for that November date in Seattle. If they don’t stay focused and continue to improve, that is a potential trap for them. Huskies have beaten USC two years in a row. They’re capable of beating anybody. But Chip Kelly knows that, and he’ll get to them at the proper time.

Oregon State, taking advantage of three Brock Osweiler turnovers in the first quarter, two interceptions and a fumble, lead 6-0 and are driving, just got a crucial pass interference call on third and 8.

Top of the poll is certain to remain the same: Bama, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, LSU all roll to decisve wins. Nebraska, South Carolina and Florida will fall; Ducks likely to come in around ninth.

Beavers score again to take a 13-0 lead on the road in Tempe.

But then they fumble a punt and give up a punt return td and now trail 21-13. Let the collapse begin.

ASU has a wide receiver named Jamal Miles, just returned the punt 72 yards for a td. He’s fast and dangerous, running the reverse, on returns, downfield on pass patterns. He’s a player the Ducks will have to contain.
