College Football AP Top 25 Rankings – Week 6

Kentucky v Alabama

1. Alabama (5-0) – The Crimson Tide had an easy, convincing win against the cellar dwelling Kentucky Wildcats. Freshman quarterback Jalen Hurts continues to lead the offense. Hurts threw for 262 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Wildcats while star wide receiver Calvin Ridley hauled in 11 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns. The Crimson Tide will face #15 Arkansas this Saturday.

2. Ohio State (4-0) –The Buckeyes weak schedule may hurt them in the long run for college playoff rankings if they cannot continue their early season dominance against weaker teams. This week was not the case with the Buckeyes shutting out Rutgers 58-0. Quarterback JT Barrett broke the school record for career touchdown passes with 4 touchdowns on the day and 59 for his career. Barrett also added 238 yards on 21-29 passing. The Buckeyes will face Indiana this Saturday.

3. Clemson (5-0) – Deshaun Watson may have hurt his individual success with a 3 interception game against Louisville but ultimately he led the Tigers to a stellar win against Louisville. Watson added five touchdowns on 20-31 passing for 306 yards and 91 yards on the ground.

4. Michigan (5-0) – The Wolverines participated in an old school battle with Wisconsin, winning 14-7 and strengthening their case for a higher ranking. Quarterback Wilton Speight threw for 219 yards, one touchdown and one interception. However, the star of the game was the Wolverines defense which allowed only 159 total yards against the Badgers. Michigan faces Rutgers this Saturday.

5. Washington (5-0) – The Huskies have been one of the more surprising teams of the 2016 college football season and continued their run with a convincing win over the Stanford Cardinals.
