College Football Week Seven Viewing Schedule

gm23TMS

Week six is in the books with Florida, Ohio State, South Carolina and West Virginia moving up in the world and FSU, Georgia and LSU taking a tumble. Not sure what games to watch this week? Here are the must see games….

Saturday, October 13th

Oklahoma (3-1, 1-1) vs Texas (4-1, 1-1), Noon, ABC

There are actually some pretty good games in the noon timeslot this week but this is the most intriguing. Both teams are licking their wounds a bit as OU fell to Collin Klein and Kansas State earlier this year and last weekend the Texas defense got sliced and diced by the Mountaineers of West Virginia. The “Red River Rivalry” is always a big game and this year even more is on the line with both teams already dropping a conference game. OU has had the advantage recently winning the last two, three of the last five and eight of the last twelve.

Two other games to keep an eye on in this time slot is Kansas State/Iowa State (on FX) and Duke/Virginia Tech (which you will have to find on ESPN3 on your computer). Why Duke/VT? Duke is 5-1 and it’s time to find out if they are for real. Depending on your conference of choice there are some other intriguing games around the noon time slot (Syracuse/Rutgers, Louisville/Pittsburgh, Wisconsin/Purdue, Auburn/Ole Miss and Iowa/Michigan State).

Stanford (4-1) at Notre Dame (5-0), 3:30, NBC

So far this season, Notre Dame has answered the bell every time it’s been rung and they’ve come out swinging. This weeks challenge will be interesting as the Cardinal are very strong along the lines of scrimmage and will certainly test the strength of the Irish. The Cardinal also have one big win already this season as they knocked off pre-season favorite USC.

The 3:30 slate is not that strong this week other than the game above but some others of interest are Alabama/Missouri (CBS), Oregon State/BYU (ABC/ESPN 3) and WVU/Texas Tech (ABC/ESPN). If you like points, the Mountaineers and Red Raiders should be off the charts.

South Carolina (6-0, 4-0) at LSU (5-1, 1-1), 8 PM, ESPN

Last week LSU fell on the road at Florida and South Carolina came up with a big win at home against Georgia. These are teams that seem to be going in opposite directions but you never know what’s going to happen until it’s played out on the field. Tune in to see if Zach Mettenberger can survive the onslaught of Jadaveon Clowney and his friends and how the South Carolina offense fares against the strong defensive front of the Tigers.

A couple of other intriguing match-ups in this time slot are Tennessee/Miss State (ESPN 2), Texas A&M/Louisiana Tech (ESPNU) and USC/Washington (FOX).
