College Football Week Three Viewing Schedule

Week two of the college football season has come and gone and Arkansas and Wisconsin are not happy about it. Let’s take a look at the games you should be watching this week:

Thursday, Sept 13th

Rutgers (2-0) at USF (2-0); 7:30 PM, ESPN

Outside of Louisville, these are two of the teams in the Big East to watch. Last week, USF struggled at Nevada but pulled it off in the end. Rutgers is yet to face tough competition this season. This should be one of the more interesting Big East match-ups during the season.

Friday, Sept 14th

Washington St (1-1) at UNLV (0-2), 9 PM, ESPN

OK so on paper this doesn’t look fun at all but it’s college football and it’s all you get on this night. Watch to see how Mike Leach and his team have progressed from their opening season loss to BYU to this game.

Saturday, Sept 15th

Wake Forest (2-0) at FSU (2-0), Noon, ESPN

Over the last six years, Wake Forest holds a 4-2 series lead over the Seminoles. If FSU wants to live up to their lofty expectations this is a must win game.

During the commercials check out Cal/Ohio State (ABC) and ULM/Auburn (12:21 pm, SEC Network).

Virginia (2-0) at Georgia Tech(1-1), 3:30 PM, ESPNU

This one probably won’t be pretty to watch but it will be close. This is a must win game for Georgia Tech after they dropped their season opener to Virginia Tech. The Jackets simply can’t lose their second game in a row in the coastal division. Over the last four years, this series is tied 2-2.

During the commercials flip back and forth between Alabama/Arkansas (CBS) and UNC/Louisville (ABC/ESPN 2).

Florida (2-0) at Tennessee (2-0), 6 PM, ESPN

The winner of this game has the right to puff out their chest and dream of going to the SEC Championship Game. Of course, Georgia and South Carolina still stand in the way but it’s OK to dream a bit, isn’t it?

During commercials we’ve got Arizona State/Mizzou (ESPN2).

Notre Dame (2-0) at Michigan St (2-0), 8 PM, ABC

Last year, the Irish won at home by 18 points. This year, Michigan State looks for some payback at home. Can the Notre Dame offense get going against this tough Michigan State defense? We find out which one of these teams are for real on Saturday night.

During the commercials flip over to watch USC/Stanford (FOX), Utah State/Wisconsin (BTN) and Texas/Ole Miss (9:15, ESPN)

BYU (2-0) at Utah (1-1), 10 PM, ESPN2

Utah was expected to be the closest thing to a challenger that USC had in the Pac-12 South. Last week they lost to Utah State and this week their starting QB retired. How will they respond? Keep an eye on BYU. They looked stout against Mike Leach and Wazzu in week one. How will they look against a much better defense this week?
