UPDATE: Phil B. Wilson of Indy Star tweeted a few updates today (Tuesday):
- WR Austin Collie has already been ruled out for Sunday
- S Bob Sanders has also been ruled out
- RB Joseph Addai will participate in non-contact drills only this week for conditioning purposes
- S Chip Vaughn suffered an ankle injury that has landed him on IR; S Al Afalava has been signed in his place
Tom James of CBS Sports Rapid Reports released the list of players who did not practice on Monday. Included on that list was wide receiver Austin Collie, running back Joseph Addai, running back Mike Hart, running back Javarris James (reasons undisclosed), linebacker Gary Brackett, linebacker Clint Session, and safety Chip Vaughn. If this list is complete, this is good news for the potential return of cornerback Justin Tryon, who not only provides excellent depth on defense but is one of the team’s most active special teams players.
Bill Polian said that Austin Collie came out of the Patriots game because he was “uncomfortable.” Polian said the move was made because the team was “going to error on the side of caution.” No other updates were available on Monday when Polian discussed Collie’s injury.
