Fox Sports ranks us 5th: Say what you want about this team, but they have to be the favorite to win the AFC South again. Their victory over the Giants last week was a masterpiece on both sides of the ball. It will be interesting to see if the Broncos can give them a game this week. Personally, I’d like another relaxing game…my blood pressure has not been as low as it was on Sunday in 3 years.
Walter Football Ranks us 5th (+2): Peyton Manning is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, but he’s a douche of a big brother. Seriously, couldn’t he have told his defense to take it easy on Eli? That way, he could have consoled Eli afterward: “You did good, baby bro. You didn’t win, but at least your team covered the spread! Great job!”
Hey, that’s what I would have done. But then again, I am a degenerate gambler and I had the Giants +5.5. This made me spit out my coffee…some funny stuff.
Pete Prisco at CBS Sports ranks us 6th (-1): All those ready to bury the Colts might want to put the shovels back in the garage. They’re just fine.
NFL.com’s Collective Brain Trust ranks us 4th: Bucky Brooks, lay off the crack…behind the Pats AND Bengals, really? Dude.
Michael Silver at Yahoo Sports ranks us 10th: Did Dwight Freeney(notes) think he was playing against Peyton Manning on Sunday night? 10th. As AJ would say: Le Sigh….
WEEI in Bahston ranks us 3rd: Did anyone really think the Colts would fall to 0-2 to start the season? Indy took a national stage Sunday night and showed the country that they will be one of the best teams in the NFL once again. Am I the only one who misses the heated rivalry here? These guys are just being a little too nice for my liking.
ESPN ranks us 4th: The Colts’ rebound was encouraging, but the Giants weren’t smart (Kuharsky) Annnnd, there’s Kuharsky with a back-handed compliment….
Sporting News ranks us 8th: Getting back to The Luke was all Indy needed to get everything back on track around Peyton Manning. As for Peyton, he’s just being himself. Peyton is perfect…yes, we know.
National Football Post ranks us 3rd: Was anyone shocked to see the Colts rebound and blowout the Giants at home? Spaz was, I’m sure.
WhatIfSports ranks us 6th – BEHIND the Cowgirls, no less.
PK @ SI ranks us 5th: Wow. The Colts can run it. So, Pete, can I buy you a beer?
USA Today ranks us 5th: There was no hangover from Week 1 loss to Texans
CHFF ranks us 5th: The Cold, Hard Football Facts: Ladies and gentlemen, your 2010 MVP, for the 5th time, Peyton Manning. He’s hit 72.3 percent of his passes and has no picks in 83 attempts. I KNOW they are going for the reverse jinx here; they hate Peyton. And that is a weird, little font.
