Comcast SportsNet New England to Re-Air Patriots Exhibition Games

Comcast SportsNet will re-air three Patriots exhibition games aired on the Pats TV Network. Here’s the press release:

Meeting with Super Bowl Champion New York Giants Highlights Replay Schedule

BURLINGTON, MA – Comcast SportsNet, which reaches 4.4 million homes in New England, will provide three replays of the New England Patriots preseason games against the Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants. The match up with the Giants represents the first time the Patriots will play the Super Bowl champions since the closely contested title game.

All replays will air within 48 hours of each game’s completion. Comcast SportsNet’s replay schedule includes:

Patriots vs. Ravens

Friday, August 8 – 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, August 9 – 12 & 9:30 p.m.

Patriots vs. Eagles

Friday, August 22 – 12:00 a.m.

Saturday, August 23 – 12 & 8:00 p.m.

Patriots vs. Giants

Thursday, August 28 – 12:00 a.m.

Friday, August 29 – 6:30 a.m. & 7:30 p.m.

“With expanded rosters and lots of new players, the preseason games are tailor-made for replays. Our replays of the games will give hardcore fans multiple chances to focus on the players they might have missed,” said Bill Bridgen, Comcast SportsNet executive vice president and general manager. “With our region-wide reach, we will also provide a consistent channel in which fans can catch the game regardless of where they live in New England.

Each telecast will be available in high definition on Comcast SportsNet HD on Comcast, Cox and Charter systems. All other systems will have the games in standard definition.

This gives Comcast SportsNet some much needed programming in the late summer.
