Update, 1:16 p.m.:
Per Pat Leonard, Richards says he has a stiff neck (no concussion symptoms), but will play against the Bruins tomorrow. He called Cooke hit “cheap.”
Update, 12:30 p.m.:
Brad Richards is not practicing today because he is banged up from the Matt Cooke hit which the Rangers are calling a slewfoot (via Andrew Gross).
…surprised to hear this the day after. Maybe no one noticed last night until Richards mentioned it this morning. Should be interesting to see how this develops.
Dreger tweeted earlier today that Cooke would not face any discipline from the NHL.
Original Post:
…usually when Cooke is involved it’s guilty as charged, but after watching the replay last night, I’ve got to be honest, I didn’t give the play a second thought. And by the non-reaction by Richards and the Rangers neither did they. Would be surprised if there is any disciplinary actions taken by the league.
