Cordarrelle Patterson literally dreams of returning kicks for TDs

Few in the NFL are better than Cordarrelle Patterson at returning kickoffs for touchdowns.

The All-Pro returner even scores in his dreams:

Patterson has been a huge bust as a receiver for the Minnesota Vikings, who took the Tennessee product in the first round of the 2013 draft. But there’s no denying his rare ability to score six points from a kickoff return.

Over just three NFL seasons, Patterson has already produced four kickoff returns for scores—while also leading the league in kickoff return average and touchdowns in both 2013 and 2015. He currently averages 30.1 yards per return.

However, Patterson caught just two passes for 10 yards on offense last season. More than likely, his future impact with the Vikings will continue to come on special teams.

As for his dream of returning a touchdown in Minnesota’s first game at U.S. Bank Stadium? Don’t rule it out.

The Vikings play the Green Bay Packers at home in Week 2. Back in 2013, Patterson returned a kick 109 yards for a touchdown on the opening kickoff of a home game against the Packers.

If you can dream it, you can achieve it?

Maybe Patterson should start throwing in some dreams about playing offense and catching passes from Teddy Bridgewater.
