Countdown to the Kickoff of Gamecocks Football: 88 Days

The Southern Miss Golden Eagles come to Columbia, SC for a September 2nd showdown with the University of South Carolina Gamecocks in 88 days.

To continue the countdown until that day, we highlight the number 88 –

#88 is worn by current USC football player Weslye Saunders.  Mr. Saunders, a senior, plays tight end for the Gamecocks and should have a productive 2010 season.  Weslye has caught 60 passes for 718 yards and six touchdowns in his career.  Much is expected from him in 2010, he just needs to keep a positive attitude and catch what comes his way as it will due to his size and match-up issues for opposing defenses.
