Western High’s Fabian Moreau finished his senior season with over 1900 all-purpose yards and 20 tds. He recently added offers from Western Kentucky and Wake Forest. Here’s a look at his complete 2012 senior highlight tape. Note the ropes of muscle in his arms. The kid has taken his quest for an Oregon scholarship very seriously:
South Bend, Indiana product Gehrig Dieter finishes his season with two national records, most yards in a game, 437, and season average per catch, 26.8. For the year he had 81 receptions for 2,171 yards. He finishes his high school career with 49 touchdowns, 4,326 receiving yards.
In the State Championship game he set another state record, with 5 catches for 168 yards.
Coaching changes are also likely to have a big impact on the West Coast recruiting scene:
With Rick Neuheisel and Dennis Erickson being fired today, you wonder what impact it might have on recruiting with coaching searches underway at those two schools. D.J. Foster was wavering between the Ducks and his home-state Sun Devils.
At Ohio State, they hired Urban Meyer today, and he’s almost certain to make another run at recent Oregon verbal commit Dwayne Stanford, an impact wide receiver Meyer would love to have in his spread offense. High school teammate Aldophus Washington, a five-star defensive end, is already a Buckeye verbal commit.
Rich Rodriguez has been hired at Arizona, and he’ll be recruiting head-to-head with the Ducks over the next few years, running a similar offensive system.
