Cowboys All Business in 31-21 Victory Over Giants

DeMarco Murray

As I reflect on this game as a whole, I keep coming back to the feeling that these 2014 Dallas Cowboys are all business, and they showed up today with that same focus. There were times where they looked to get a little rattled, but they did not fold. That has been the biggest factor for the Cowboys success this season – not folding under pressure.

The Cowboys are now 6-1 and 1-0 in the NFC East.

Here are my takes on the game:

Dez Bryant was due a breakout game and I thought today he would have that chance, he came through big in big moments. 9 catches for 151 yards.

— This defense is coming together as each game comes and goes. Who else can’t wait for DeMarcus Lawrence to be in the mix?

Jeremy Parnell held his own, and the gameplan was not adversely effected with Free out from injury. Overall it was a good game from Parnell.

— El Patron, Gavin Escobar showed up today and showed everyone the potential he can have in the passing game. He displayed great hands and concentration today.

Tyrone Crawford has a home at DT, keep him there.

Jeremy Mincey didn’t record a sack, but he had Manning on the run a few times. Good game.

DeMarco Murray is the first to put in 7 consecutive 100 yard games in NFL history. He now has 913 yards on the year.

Terrance Williams will score on you if you underestimate him. Williams is looking very good for a 2nd year player, his potential for next year could be insane.

The defense is getting teams off the field on 3rd down. The Giants were 5-13 on 3rd downs. Great job.

Justin Durant is flourishing at linebacker under Rod Marinelli.

If the Cowboys get to 9-1, I’m pretty sure Jerry Jones may get Garrett extended over the bye week.

The Cowboys have two more home games before heading to the UK against the Jaguars. We host the Redskins next Monday night, then a big game against the Cardinals.

Let’s go Dallas!
