Cowboys Linebackers Set for 2015 run

Rolando McClain has decided to stay in Dallas despite being offered a contract from the Cheatriots. McClain signed on for a 1-yr deal earning him up to $4 million for the year. The deal basically consists of $3 mill base and $1 mill in incentives.

With McClain returning, the Cowboys are now set at LB for now.

Here’s where the linebackers will lineup on Sundays:

Sean Lee – Will
Rolando McClain – Mike
Anthony Hitchens – Sam

Jasper Brinkley and Keith Rivers give us some nice depth as well.

We’re in business, and now the Cowboys can focus on other areas of the defense. With all these recent moves, I think cornerback is leap-frogged every other position in the first round. Don’t get me wrong, there’s still a case for defensive end and possibly running back, but CB needs-a-fixin.

The Cowboys now have more wiggle room to move up and down the draft board to get the guy they want. Is that guy Kevin Johnson, CB, Wake Forest? or is it Marcus Peters? Do they trade down a bit and draft Ronald Darby, CB, Florida State? Eric Rowe from Utah could be in that conversation too.

Or do we go defensive tackle now, after a 24 year drought of selecting a DT in the first?

Plenty of questions to ponder.
