No one had the Cowboys winning against the Patriots, but the Cowboys season is in serious peril as we head into the bye-week on a 3-game skid with no control in sight. Remember when Bill Parcells tallied up a 6-10 season for us in 2004, that’s the path Jason Garrett’s 2015 squad is heading towards. Cowboys 2005 draft pick — DeMarcus Ware. We could hit on a good one is 2016 if we continue the slide.
Yes, the injuries have taken their toll, but that was 3 weeks ago, and the offense has not adjusted or tried anything different. It’s been the same gameplan with Weeden as the QB. Weeden has now lost his 11th straight game as a starter — that’s not apparition — that’s just what he is.
If we are being completely 100% honest, this team won’t win without Dez and Romo. Even with Dez returning before Romo won’t help because Weeden cannot put together a string of completions past 5 yards. The Weeden apologists need to just shut up with the stats, any garbage QB will have good “stats” on paper when they checkdown with high percentage catches. That’s not how you win in this league.
The offense has been tailored for what the staff think Weeden can and cannot do. The receivers are not running the same routes they do with Romo, saying otherwise is just dumb. Here’s what the offense looks like with Weeden:
Our receivers are just decoys for our running backs to catch the ball. #CowboysNation #NEvsDAL #DallasCowboys

I said this half jokingly, but to me, that’s what they have cooked up. With the bye-week next week, the Cowboys MUST work with Cassel to get him ready to take over, they cannot keep on the same path with Weeden, because we won’t win any games. We will be 2-9 or 3-8 at the best, and after Thanksgiving the remaining schedule is just as tough with the whole gang back.
Here are my takes on the game:
— Jason Garrett is going to get grilled over staying with Weeden.
— Greg Hardy and Rolando McClain helped the defense, but the offense tired them out by going 3 and out on a regular basis. Getting Gregory will help, but it still comes down to the offense not staying on the field and resting our defense.
— Morris Claiborne has his worst game today, but still better than his play in previous seasons.
— Ron Leary had a crap game, and I would not be surprised if we see some Leary trade bait rumors swirl around if we are looking for a player-for-player trade. La’el Collins is ready, and it’s probably a good time to get him fully acclimated with Weeden in there right now.
— Frank Pollack is no Bill Callahan, it’s clear as can be by the way this line is playing, that is the one variable that has changed, real disappointing.
— Return game is no where to be found. Whether is was Dunbar or Whitehead, we have the worst starting field position in the league
— The refs continue to miss pick plays, I would advise the Cowboys to start incorporating this cheat play as the Patriots did on a regular basis today.
— Brandon Weeden has lost his 11th straight game as a starter.
— Phil Simms has no clue what he was saying about the Cowboys today, terrible commentating and knowledge of the team.
— Byron Jones did an admirable job on Gronkenstein, his ceiling has potential.
— Do not rush Dez Bryant back for the Giants, do not get him back until he’s 100%
— Early draft thoughts: RB, DT, WR, S, QB
That’s it guys, it hasn’t been a good year, and it’s been frustrating no doubt, but what do you think the Cowboys do the rest of the season? Is the season lost? Are we going to be ok? Sound off in comments or tweets. Cowboys Nation forever.
