C’s Survive Heat, Onto Atlanta

thomas2010

A 26 point comeback by the C’s in Wednesday night’s performance showed that a bad shooting day can turn around in an instant.

Isaiah Thomas, once again, led the C’s in scoring with 21 points to go along with a team high of 6 assists as the C’s took 5th place in the Eastern Conference standings and will face the 4th seed Atlanta Hawks for Game 1 this Saturday the 16th at 7 pm.

The big issue with Atlanta is their ability to score from all angles and second chance opportunities. F Paul Millsap has progressed into the role of guiding the Hawks with his low post play and the ability to shoot the outside shot when needed. Millsap has averaged a hair short of 18 points a game and averages about 9 rebounds a game. At 6’8 and 246 pounds, Millsap is a force to be wrecked with underneath the hoop.

Other key players to contain are Al Horford, Kent Bazemore, Jeff Teague, and Dennis Scroder.

The schedule for the upcoming series against Atlanta looks like this:

Game 1 @ Atlanta 4/16

Game 2 @ Atlanta 4/19

Game 3 vs Atlanta 4/22

Game 4 vs Atlanta 4/24

Game 5 @ Atlanta 4/26

Game 6 vs Atlanta 4/28

Game 7 @ Atlanta 4/30
