Congratulations to all Penn State students who graduated over the weekend! Welcome to the world of unemployment, and best of luck to you all as you pursue your various career goals.
On to football headlines…
Ohio State lost a rather significant linebacker recruit on Friday. Alex Anzalone decommitted from the Buckeyes, leaving many in the Penn State community to perk up just a little bit. His father, Sal, had no idea what kind of reaction the news would receive when he made some critical comments of Ohio State. Of course, it looks like the Reading Eagle took the opportunity to follow-up the big story by bragging about their 50,000 hits received, thus making them a part of the story. Call me old-fashioned, but how is it allowed to make your own media organziation a part of the story?
Our Ohio State counterparts over at Buckeye House Call follow up on the news from their perspective. (They are also looking to add some new writers to the staff)
It is now the second week in May, so I guess that means it is past time to regurgitate the stale Penn State vs. Pitt football series conversation. This time it was Bill O’Brien who sparked the conversation on his Penn State Caravan. The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review got O’Brien to bite in an interview about the topic. O’Brien says it would be good to see take place every year, but what O’Brien may not fully understand yet is the fact that the logistics to making it happen may not be feasible for Penn State.
Ryan offers a compromise for the series. Our Pitt counterparts over at Pitt Script Blog note that this discussion seems to creep up earlier every year.

Speaking of Wisconsin, Oregon’s 2012 Rose Bowl ring is pretty nice.
Clemson’s Samy Watkins was recently arrested too.
