Cup of Joe: TicketCity Bowl Round-Up

It’s a new year, and the football season is in the books. What better time to try and get back to a daily routine here on Nittany Lion’s Den with the morning links. We’ll stick with the name “Cup of Joe” until we can find a more suitable name, if such one exists.

First of all, a belated Happy New Year to all of you. On behalf of the entire staff here at Nittany Lion’s Den, I hope the new year finds you well. I’m hoping for a solid 2012 here on the site as we get ready to tackle our first off-season since launching last summer. Recruiting news will be a big subject of course for football, and we’ll strive to provide some coverage on other subjects and sports as well.

Around the Big Ten

Penn State was not alone in bowl game misery yesterday. The rest of the Big Ten struggled once again in the traditional New Years Bowls, except for Michigan State. The Big Ten is now 3-6 in bowl games, with one more to be played. Michigan takes on Virginia Tech Tuesday night in the Sugar Bowl. Here is a look at the updated conference bowl standings.
