Clay Buchholz was given early run support as I suggested but that soon evaporated thanks to the long ball as the Chicago White Sox beat the Boston Red Sox 6-5.
Buchholz gave up three homers – a solo shot to Jermaine Dye, a two-run shot to Carlos Quentin, and a two-run shot to Jim Thome – in the loss.
