The Red Sox are in negotiations with free agent relief pitcher Dan Wheeler according to Alex Speier of WEEI.com. Wheeler is a solid relief pitcher who played for the Rays and was a closer for a brief period of time with the Astros. I’m sure many of you fantasy baseball players picked him up when you needed saves midseason a few years back. Wheeler could be a good middle reliever and occasional setup man for the Red Sox in 2011.
