Yeah baby.
David West shows he’s still got it. Returning from an ankle injury that had kept him out of every game this season, West had a very solid 18. 6 and 4 stat line in boosting the Pacers past the Magic, 98-85.
CJ Watson was also back to play his first game, and he made an impact with 9 points and 4 assists in 18 minutes without a miss.
Leading the way was Rodney Stuckey, who appears more comfortable in the rotation now as he poured in 24 points on 9-15 shooting.
Lavoy Allen continued to impress with a 10 and 14 double-double, while Solomon Hill rounded out the double-figure scorers with 11. It was a beautiful night for Indiana, who is still missing two starters in Roy Hibbert and George Hill. Hibbert could be back tomorrow night against the Cavs in Cleveland, though Hill is not expected back now until mid-December at the earliest.
It’ll be an interesting showdown given that we are still unsure if the Cavs have turned the corner or are still trying to figure things out. I’d like to think this is a winnable game for Indiana because of the uncertainty, but I hope it will at least be competitive either way.
