Day 10 morning practice wrap

The Raiders completed the morning session of their tenth day of training camp. With 5 days left until they kick of their preseason slate of games, they continue working. Retired special teams standout Jarrod Cooper stopped by for a visit, and things got spirited at the end of practice.

  • If you had Quentin Groves kicking Alex Daneils in your office pool for first fight not involving Lamarr Houston, step forward to claim your prize.

  • Coop has joined the Lamarr Houston appreciation club, was impressed by his intensity.
  • Marcel Reece is back from his injury and showed why he is a receiving threat at fullback by flashing speed and turning it into a long gain.
  • Mike Mitchell again had problems with Zach Miller, he got flagged for pass interference. The good news, a lot of teams have issues with Zach, and it will get Mitchell better in tight end coverage. The bad news, he will have to cover Antonio Gates twice this season.
  • Darren McFadden left practice early.
  • Kyle Boller got some extended practice time with Bruce Gradkowksi and Charlie Frye both getting the morning off.
