De’Aaron Fox visited with Sacramento on Monday

Anytime a top-5 prospect visits Sacramento, it should be news and it was Monday morning, as Kentucky guard, De’Aaron Fox was paying the Kings a visit.

Fox’s visit did not include media availability but he was pretty excited to be in Sacramento just by looking at his Instagram posts on his story. Fox has been very open about wanting to play in purple, as he would serve as a solid compliment to all the young pieces the Kings already have.

Many scouts around the NBA feel that Fox might be a better prospect at point guard than Markelle Fultz and Lonzo Ball. He certainly possesses a similar skill-set like John Wall’s but in a lefty’s body.

Wall also said that Fox reminds him a lot of himself, which can easily be interpreted as a Kentucky connection doing each other a favor, but I certainly see the similarities.

Fox is a student of the game and is very aware of the opposing point guards in the Pacific Division and the surrounding complimentary pieces the Kings have. I believe that’s a big deal because not many prospects know these type of things when asked and Fox certainly does, meaning he is willing to put the work in on the court and in the film room.

Fox averaged 16.7 points and 4.6 assists as a freshman for the Wildcats, but struggled from deep as he shot 24.6 percent.

His shooting should be a huge concern for any team that takes him in the top-5, but his elite speed, leadership qualities and work ethic will give most teams hope for him to become a solid shooter at the next level.

The Kings are bringing in high-potential Duke center, Harry Giles for a workout Tuesday morning. If you want to be the first ones to watch his interview, subscribe to our YouTube Channel.
