Defending national champion Florida State will begin the 2015 season ranked first in the women’s National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll. The Seminoles went 24-1-1 last season and closed the year by pitching seven straight shutouts including six in the NCAA Tournament.
FSU took down Virginia 1-0 for both the ACC title and the first national championship in school-history. The Seminoles got a goal from Jamia Fields in the 83rd minute to take the crown. FSU will open the 2015 season against New Mexico in Albuquerque on August 21st.
