If you thought the divorce battle between Deion Sanders and his soon-to-be-ex-wife Pilar was going to be anything but clean…you were right.
During Friday's custody hearing, Pilar Sanders took the stand, testified about her duties as a mom and snuck in quite the bombshell about her estranged husband. According to the the Dallas Morning News, the self-proclaimed "Mommy-Actress-Fitness Maven-Writer-Producer" testified that Deion Sanders used to take steroids. This led to the NFL Hall of Famer (and former big league outfielder) to get up and leave the courtroom as his attorneys objected.
“It shocks me,” Deion Sanders told reporters. “I don’t think I’ve ever been accused in my life of something that ignorant.”
And, as you do, "Prime Time" even took to Twitter to clear his name.
Attorney Rick Robertson defended his client by saying he never did steroids and the allegations were moot. Pilar's attorney Luke Gunnstaks countered telling the judge that the issue was relevant because, apparently, the controlled substances were in a closet that was accessible to the children.
Whether Deion Sanders did or didn't do steroids is up for debate. Honestly, I don't really care. But this I do know…dude was awful on the mic. Yuck.
