Just two days after saying the Rangers are committed to youth and developing Michael Del Zotto with the Rangers, John Tortorella is now saying he might be sent back to the CT Whale…
“I’m not sure what’s going to happen,” the coach said before the match. “I still think Michael is a work in progress. We have to figure out what’s best for him because that’s what’s going to be best for the organization.
“After this, we have a few days [before Friday’s game in Atlanta] to see what we have. We’ll make a decision over the next few days.”
…way to stick with the plan guys. After giving MDZ a vote of confidence a mere two days ago, Torts is ready to pull the plug? So is the plan not to develop youth on the big club now? And how much do these contridictions start messing with Del Zotto’s head?
…now this ultimately may be the right decision, as Del Zotto has done nothing to help the power play and his defense is still suspect, but talk about an about face. Not sure how one day its about developing the team for the future and wins the next. I’m worried the Rangers are going to sign Souray tomorrow now.
