CTWhale.com reports that in his AHL debut, Michael Del Zotto fed Tim Kennedy for the game winning power play goal as the CT Whale defeated the Worcester Sharks 2-0 Wednesday night.
Del Zotto on adjusting to his new team…
“Things are a little different here with a different style, so in the beginning I just wanted to keep myself in it, not get too aggressive and start going crazy,” Del Zotto said. “But once I got in it a little bit I felt a lot better. We have a great group of guys, and my partner Stu and I hit it off right away. We had a lot of talk out there and just took it from there.”
…from all the reports I read, Del Zotto struggled early on but I’m sure the assist will give him some confidence moving forward. Unfortunately for Del Zotto, Gilroy’s goal Wednesday night might have earned the recently demoted defenseman a few more weeks with the Whale.
