The Denver Broncos come to Dallas this Sunday with one of the most prolific offenses in recent years. Peyton Manning is on a mission, and every team in his path to the Super Bowl has been obliterated, absolutely destroyed. The Cowboys are an 8pt underdog, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the Broncos come into AT&T Stadium and have their way with the Cowboys.
These Cowboys are the same old Cowboys, we ALL want to be optimistic, and we ALL want the Cowboys to win and make a playoff push, but its been business as usual. We are inconsistent on both sides of the ball. We win one game, and we lose one game. We have yet to string together wins that give us hope that we have finally turned the corner. This is going to be an ugly game. Yes, I like what the defense has been doing to a degree, but they are still struggling on 3rd downs, and Mo Claiborne looks completely lost and out of confidence despite what he says in interviews. Manning is going to eat up Claiborne all game long, every team has targeted him the most, he’s a walking 1st down for opposing offenses. If he stinks it up and continues to blame it on the scheme ship his butt outta here, get some value for him.
My biggest fear and prediction is that this could be that one game that tilts the Cowboys into a tailspin, like the one when Wade Phillips got blown away by the Packers. The team quit after that game. If the Cowboys don’t come out and play with killer instinct and put the pedal to the metal on the offense, then we lose big. The aftermath could be frightful. More questions about the play calling, more questions about the defense, more questions about Jason Garrett being the answer longterm, etc. etc.
If we get blown out, the confidence will be shaken, and the path of the Cowboys will be scrutinized immensely. Look at our upcoming schedule leading to the bye week:

10. Nov. 10 @ New Orleans Saints, 7:30 p.m. (SNF)
11. Bye Week
Tough. The Divisional games will be highly contested matches, those are never a gimmie, and the Lions look like they are going to be a team this season and @ the Saints will be very tough. Brees is virtually unbeatable at home. The Vikings may have a resurgence under Cassel. We could be talking about a possible head coaching change going into the bye week, and that’s just being completely 100% honest, especially the way these Cowboys have failed to show otherwise. Gruden watch will be on.
This game is huge; to me, the momentum will either carry us the rest of the season with a win, or it could carry us down an awful stretch the rest of the way.
