Denver Nuggets, Kenneth Faried rework contract extension

Coming off a sensational FIBA World Cup, in which he averaged 12.2 points and 7.7 rebounds, the Denver Nuggets recognized that they needed to lock up Kenneth Faried to a long-term deal.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the Nuggets and Faried have reworked the extension and he will sign a four-year, $50 million deal.

A lot of people are wondering why Faried’s deal was reworked and many asked is it because of the new TV deal that the NBA just announced on Monday. Well to answer that, Wojnarowski shed some more light on the situation.

If you are Faried, this is great news because by time he hits 28 years old, he will be just hitting his prime. Thus far in his NBA career, he is averaging 12.1 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game. Faried was drafted with the 22nd overall pick in the first round of the 2011 NBA Draft.
