According to Steve Hare of Irish Illustrated, freshman Derek Roback will transfer away from Notre Dame to Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
Some might speculate that Derek, a former HS quarterback that has made the switch over to S/OLB at ND, wanted to go back to playing QB. Me? I think he just wants to party his ass off every Halloween.
So after a spring with ZERO attrition, Notre Dame is depleting its secondary almost as fast as Michigan. Roback was looking at a red-shirt year, so the immediate impact should be light. If anything, this allows another open scholarship for the next incoming class of freshman for the Irish.
Subway Domer is swamped with actual football-season shit right now, but look for a roster opus during the bye week.
