The Derrick Rose injury watch is nearing its end. Rose participated in the entire Chicago Bulls' morning shootaround and said he will test his recovering groin before Thursday night's late tipoff against the Boston Celtics.
Rose said if he doesn't play against the Celtics, he will "for sure" play in Sunday's matinee against the Knicks in New York.
Rose has missed the last 11 games after injuring his groin on March 12 during a home game against the Knicks.
"I’m feeling better," Rose said. "I’m able to move a little more. If I feel good when I’m out there, I’m definitely going to play. If not, I’ll be smart."
Rose admitted to still feeling a little discomfort, adding he's "not able to run at full speed." Rose also said when he does return, it will be full speed ahead.
Rose doesn't sound super committed to playing tonight vs the Celtics. I bet he sits.
