Lids recently published the top 10 best-selling NFL jerseys by player and team for the 2014 NFL season. It’s no surprise that Peyton Manning top the list of best-selling player jerseys. The Broncos great is one of six quarterbacks in the top 10, joined by Colin Kaepernick (2nd), Russell Wilson (3rd), Johnny Manziel (4th), Tom Brady (5th), and Andrew Luck (8th). Two wide receivers and two defensive players make up the remaining four players in the top 10. Dez Bryant leads all non-quarterbacks at 6th, and fellow wide receiver Brandon Marshall rounds it out at 10th. Defensive MVP front-runner J.J. Watt is the top-selling defensive player jersey at 7th, and Richard Sherman is the other defensive star in the top 10 at 9th.
The Seattle Seahawks are the only team with two players in the top 10, helping them top the list of best-selling teams, followed by the San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, and Chicago Bears. As noted article, the Raiders are ranked 9th in team jersey sales, a true testament to fan loyalty of the NFL’s worst team. One reason for the Raiders’ struggles is a lack of a star player, which is reflected in the top 25 player jersey sales, where not one Raiders player appears.
