Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant currently sits on the shelf while recovering from a knee injury.

Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant said he cut his fingers while cutting up some carrots for some homemade soup. He called it “extremely, extremely minor.” Bryant had the tips of his right middle and ring fingers taped but he caught passes during Wednesday’s practice..
Before anyone goes claiming Bryant is injury prone, he’s on track to return after the bye week in Week 8 and take on the Philadelphia Eagles.
Still, it’s a funny turn over events nonetheless, with all the media in Dallas showing up daily to see how one of the league’s top receivers continues to recover, only for him to show up Wednesday with a new issue.
Alas, it doesn’t sound like either problem will delay Bryant’s return. The Cowboys continue to look like one of the best teams in the league, but rookie quarterback Dak Prescott sure wouldn’t mind having Bryant back on the field.
His teammates will probably go out of their way to keep him away from sharp objects during the bye.
