Well, the women’s college Volleyball season is rapidly drawing to a close. DIII concluded on November 24th, with Hope College of Holland, Michigan, taking the DIII prize. NAIA just finished on December 6th and Park University of Kansas City, Missouri, had the perfect season and took home the NAIA hardware. DII also wrapped up on December 6th with the University of Tampa (obviously in Tampa, Florida) winning the DII title and ending Concordia – St. Paul’s spectacular championship run of seven consecutive seasons. It’s been a Volleyball season for the centuries – which brings us to the song of the day, “Centuries” by Fall Out Boy.

Now we head for the DI finale in the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City (OKC), Oklahoma, and yes, that arena is where the OKC Thunder of the NBA play their home games. So, we have a really big arena to fill for the semifinals on December 18th and the finals on December 20th. Before we get to OKC, however, we still have eight Regional matches this weekend – and, most of them are televised somewhere on ESPN – either ESPN3, ESPN2, or ESPNU. Check your local provider for broadcast channels and times.
