DI Regional Finals

Today is DI Regional Finals day.  All four regionals will conclude and we will have four – and only four – teams remaining.  Before we go to the Chesapeake Energy Arena in downtown Oklahoma City, however, let’s journey to Ames, Louisville, Minneapolis, and Seattle for some updates. Off to the sites.

MATCH RESULTS

AMES, IOWA REGIONAL

Everything went as predicted here with the number 1 overall seed (Stanford) and the number 8 overall seed Florida) meeting in the regional final.

 LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY REGIONAL

Another regional followed the blueprint as the number 4 overall seed (Wisconsin) and number 5 overall seed (Penn State) will meet in the regional final.

 MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA REGIONAL

By the book here also in Minneapolis, as number 2 seed overall (Texas) meets number 7 overall seed (North Carolina) in the regional final.

 SEATTLE, WASHINGTON REGIONAL

Seattle definitely went off script as Nebraska upset number 3 seed Washington on Washington’s home court while BYU topped number 6 seed Florida State.  Nebraska and BYU will meet in the regional final.
