Dice-K was holding his side as if he had pulled a muscle after a throw to first when he fielded a ground ball. He threw a few warm ups at the start of the 5th but could not continue. He left the game with the M’s leading 3-0. He may have injured his side earlier when he stretched for an errant throw by Casey while covering first.
