Daisuke Matsuzaka is going on the 15-Day DL with trapezius muscle tightness. Infielder Mauro Gomez has been called up from Pawtucket to take the roster spot with Will Middlebrooks out of the lineup again tonight.
Bobby Jenks has been placed on unconditional release waivers. Jenks has been injured all season and the DUI during spring training did not help much either.
Justin Germano has been added to the 40-man roster.
