If you’re an NFL fan, then you probably saw the crazy Brandon Stokley catch where a pass intended for Brandon Marshall was batted into the air and fell into the arms of a wide open Stokley, who then ran it in for a game winning touchdown. A 12-7 Broncos win in Kyle Orton and Josh McDaniels’ Denver debuts.
Sunday night, Keith Oberman was recapping the earlier games before the kickoff of the Bears/Packers game and had an interesting choice of words while announcing the play of the day:
Now, I realize he says “premature jocularity,” but I think we all had a second or two there where we wondered if he may have actually just said something about premature ejaculation on national television. I know this season of “Hard Knocks” got us all close and personal with the Bengals, but not that close to know their sexual shortcomings, right?
Speaking of creaming yourself too soon, if anyone was prematurely ejaculating it may have actually been Denver fans as Stokley ran parallel to the goalline before scoring to try and run extra time off the clock. To fans outside of Denver it was a genius, quick on his feet move, but if I was a Denver fan I’d be screaming touchdown way before he actually crossed into the end zone. I’d also probably become increasingly nervous that he’d get Don Beebe’d from behind.
At least CBS announcer, Gus Johnson, had no problem holding his “composure”:
And I’m spent.
