NCAA DII Women’s Volleyball starts the tournament dance this Thursday, November 20, with eight-team regionals playing at eight campus locations. Regional competition will consist of single-elimination, best three-of-five-set matches. The winners of each of the eight regionals will advance to the finals December 4 through December 6, 2014, at Knights Hall on the Bellarmine University campus in Louisville, Kentucky. Competition at the finals site will also be single-elimination; best three-of-five-set matches.
Concordia – St. Paul has won the last seven – THAT’S RIGHT, THE LAST SEVEN – DII Women’s Volleyball championships. This unbelievable run is the longest active championship streak in any division of Volleyball. Can Concordia do it again? And that phrase “do it again” leads me to the song of the day – “Do It Again” by Steely Dan.
“You go back Jack do it again
Wheel turnin’ ’round and ’round
You go back Jack do it again”
The eight Regionals are Atlantic, Central, East, Midwest, South, South Central, Southeast and West.
