“I can’t tell you much more than what you know already,” Rivers said. “He’s going to do more tests today. We do think it’s muscle-related. We don’t think it has anything to do with the knee, but we don’t know. So we’re going to wait and see.”
Rivers added, “I think we’re in good shape here, but you just never know. I’m just going to wait for the MRI. I should know by mid-afternoon.”
That's Doc this morning on WEEI. All things considered, this sounds pretty positive. Of course because it's KG and because its his right leg, we're all still a bit freaked out. I'm still hearing the "isn't this how the Celtics reacted the last time?"
At first, it seemed like that… but the last time they never lied about a body part. I don't think this is the same issue.
By the way, Doc also called Rondo "day to day" and wouldn't commit to him playing tomorrow against New Orleans. But we know how much Rondo loooooves playing against Chris Paul… so I get the feeling they'll have to outright deactivate him for him not to play.
