This week, Doc Rivers revealed a hilarious story from his time coaching in Boston. The LA Clippers head coach revealed he once tried to get ejected from a late season game on purpose, so he could watch Tiger Woods play in the Masters.
The story was from years ago, back when Tiger Woods was competing for the green jacket. Celtics general manager Danny Ainge convinced Doc Rivers to get ejected from the game during halftime, so they could watch the competition together. Here’s a clip of Rivers telling the story.
Well if Doc gets thrown out tonight, you know why. 😂 pic.twitter.com/fUHjQgadO3

What was the end result of Doc intentionally yelling at a referee to get thrown out? The referee simply said, “I want to watch it too.”
