I’m absolutely not surprised by this news. In fact, there was never any hint of the possibility of Doc NOT coming back until he was asked about it after the Celtics were eliminated.
Now… of course people are going to read into this and speculate about Pierce’s and/or Garnett’s futures on the team. I’m not going to do that. I don’t believe they’re connected.
