If you haven't heard by now, Doc's kid Austin is nasty. He's gotten his shots in on John Wall… set records for Team USA's under-18 team… and generally exhibited a filthy game that makes opponents look really bad.
He's at it again, dropping 42 points in the City of Palms classic quarterfinals game. And they weren't just 42 points in a blowout.
When Dwyer (4-1) whittled Winter Park's 11-point lead to three in the fourth quarter, Rivers scored eight of his team's final 10 points to seal the victory.
"He just continues to amaze me and everybody else in the stands," Wildcats coach David Bailey said.
Austin then scored 25 in a 1-point semi-final loss. He went cold in that game, missing 5 of the 6 3's that he took (finishing 9 of 21 shooting overall).
So a bad game for Austin is a 25 point night. Not bad. Too bad he's going to Duke.
